I just had to start a memorial thread for this little guy. I got 25 adult wild emperor tetras from Charles about a year ago. 19 of those were killed by wild red Peruvian scalare adult angel males in less than 12 hours, along with another 25 rummy nose tetras. The remaining 6 emperors got plagued with that new resistant strain of ich, and 3 of them died from that. Then one unfortunate day last August, I lost 10 silver dollars, 6 wild adult male Geophagus Tapajo red heads, a flash pleco, 2 BN plecos, and 2 remaining emperors after a water change due to high levels of ammonia/chloramines in the tap. After that, I didn't even touch the tank for months. No water changes, nothing... just auto-feeds.
And then there was one.
This little emperor made it through so much, and today he finally died of old age. He was barely even pale. What a trouper! Here's a pic of the bada** lil fishdude, though it doesn't do any justice to his purples and yellows. RIP.![RIP](https://www.houstonfishbox.com/core/images/smilies/rip.gif)
