  • feeding loaches

    I just got some clown and yo yo loaches ranging from 3 to 4 inches.was wondering what special good is recommended.

      I also have a 4" peacock bass that I am TRYING to pellet feed.

        I feed my loaches 1mm pellets. If you want you can feed them bloodworms. Just melt a cube in aquarium water(in a bowl) then pour it in the tank so the bass doesn't eat all of it.

          My clowns eat everything, mysis shrimp, nls 3mm,dried krill flakes,hikari floating pellets, they will usually eat any type of fish food the eat all the left overs my that my other fishes can't finish.

            I also use Tetra Min sinking tablets and frozen krill.

            I will say that since I've switched to NLS Thera A i've seen a major improvement in the health and color quality of my loaches.

              1" and/or 2" NLS or Dainichi will have your loaches looking great .

                    Mine also like the occasional cucumber or squash. Blood worms as a treat are also a huge hit

                      +1 on the veggies.

                      Blood worms are a great source but I've pulled back from them and gone with some of the cleaner type frozen foods the last few years, krill being the main focus.
