A fish list will certainly help.

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Do you quarantine the new fish before you introduce them into the 180?
      215g Malawi Peacocks and Mbuna
180g Tropheus Ikola and Bemba and Clown Loaches
58g Bristlenose breeding and grow out

Btw a parrot is not African, I would take it out , put a list of the fish you have , Malawi and mbunas dont play nice to each other is good to have a lot of them for spread aggression and ratio would play a fact here.

55 gal- Ilangis ,clown pleco, abn pleco, rubber lip pleco

        55 gal-Canary cheek,Ikola,duboisi, and fry

        10 gal -fry tank,snails

SteeveCGG brings up a good point. Its always a good idea to quarantine new fish if you have room... particularly if you are putting them in a big tank.

your tank looks good, but is a lil crowded. variety might be the issue too. I would start by moving that parrot.

Thanks guys for all the comments. I just pulled out the male and female parrots. I am going to take them to LFS.

Also no fish dead this morning and just did a 50 % water change since I have to go offshore on Wednesday.

I also have a yellow lab that I think is holding and put here in my 10 gallon tank. She hasn't eaten in about 2 weeks and mouth looks to be getting bigger.

Ok wow thats quite the mix. Id personally get rid of a few things and go strictly Malawi. Things id consider finding new home, convicts, jack dempsey, parrot, danios. Then ud have a straight lake tank. Now do keep a keen eye on those Johanni as their even wose than the parrot can be. Most likely ur case its at night possibly due to territorial fights and not every fish has a place. Pics of tank would greatly help. Ur cleaning and wc seema all good and filter cleaning normal. But also watch the tank for a few after you shut off the lights. See what happens and if ones more aggressive.

Another day and no dead fish. The yellow lab had about 20 babies. Now I have a johnanni holding. The next fish to take out will be the convicts and bumblebee cichlid. Then possibly the Johanni and Auratus will be next to go.
