  • Aquarium Stand Ideas?

    Bought my first tank! 20H!

Now I need a cheap stand. I was thinking something like this would do.

I think it is fine but its particleboard.

Was gonna go with this Petco stand but I don't like the looks of it and it wobbled a lot when I looked at it in store.

Even considering a few cinder blocks and pieces of wood. Any ideas fellow HFB'ers?

Looks fine? Looks like I'm heading to Ikea. I'll just wood glue the joints when I am installing it.

Unfortunately, I live in an apartment and I do not have the tools and space to make anything. I would if I could though.

Just make sure to wipe up all water spills on it or else it'll eventually give out on you.

The Ikea shelving will work fine. Like Mista said Keep it dry.
as for building your own. I couldn't get the wood that cheep.

I was just gonna grab some square baskets instead of those covers.

Those baskets are good too. You can put your misc supplies, dechlor, meds, and food in there as storage and it'll be hidden.

Cut an acryllic sheet to cover the top of your stand. It'll protect the stand from water.
                          Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
