  • Rockscape

Hey all. Wanted some advice. I'm rescaping a 125 gal 6 footer that has Tahitian moon sand (black) and a black background. It'll have sub-adult Zaire blue Moba fronts. It's intended to be a low light setup with rockscape only, but I don't want it to be too dark. I don't like holey rock much for these guys and slate is too sharp. Not much into green rocks either, and already have fossil rock in my 105 gal with the geos.

Any ideas from you all would be much appreciated!

Some nicer Lace rock interspersed with some very dramatic Manzanita. I always like seeing good DW in Tang tanks and it would really pop.

Driftwood is biotope specific and with our hard water it will never alter the Ph. On the plus side it can also act as a biological sponge

It depends Bee, do u want a rounder stone, jagged or natural look. Id go to a rock place pick out a few u like bring home set them in the tank and see what looks the best to you. With the black on black itll be tougher to see the scape. Iv seen a round stone thats black n white spotted/blotchy thats kinda cool looking. Iv got it in my fry tank in the kitchen.
