There's always a reason for me doing what I do the way I do it and there's compromises involved simply because I live in an apartment
My comment was for the OP smart guy LOL.

Yes it does. Not my fault you fail at quoting and start making excuses or blaming somebody else

If there has been posted made before you post, you should use quotes unless you're addressing the poster directly above you.

I'm gonna agree with Jeb on the mag pump. Its probably raising your tank temp and then your ambient temperature is also keeping the temp high at night. I'm guessing its in the sump? Might run cooler if you could make it an external pump.

To the OP, box fan inside the canopy works my tanks temp were 84/85 and i added a box fan inside the canopy and it dropped to 78/79, It causes more water evap but it drops the temp, same thing with adding a fan to the the sump. The change was noticeable.

I believe the "c breeze" is better than the zoo med one.

Whoever doesn't have the room for box fans should go with the one linked. It moves a good amount of air for a little personal fan!!! I have one for personal use.

These are my idea in the order of effectiveness.

                                1. Fish cocktail: if you want to lower the temp instantly, drop some ice cube in the tank, wait a few minute and drop some more to where you want the temp is. I do this all the time.
                                2. Pop the grass top: this will drop the temp 2-3 degrees in couple hours.
                                3. Crank up the AC. This is expensive.
                                4. Water change: do a 10% water change every few days with cold water (off course).
