This morning I was welcomed by dead fish, ALL of them. I have no idea what happened. My fish were healthy, they ate good, active, all the things we like in our fish, they were. Everything in the tank seemed normal last night. What happened? Any input is appreciated.

I'm so sorry to hear this. :( We'll try to figure out what happened.Originally posted by mistahoo View PostAny info? Kind of hard to give input with no information other than the tank seemed normal. How long has your tank been set up? Water parameters? Livestock list? Tank size? Filtration? Substrate?

I would test ammonia and nitrate
For me 20% every 6 Weeks is too little , specially with catfish and large plecos125 gal-P. Kachase, simochromis, vampire pleco,bn pleco, bulldog pleco

Crw, I would start doing 50% water changes every week with dechlotinator if possible. That'll ensure your water quality is good.

I agree. Nitrate toxicity kills slowly. The fish would've shown signs of distress and would've stopped eating prior to dying. However if one fish died in there and started releasing copious amounts of ammonia/nitrate into the water, that may have done it if the filter was overwhelmed.
Hard to tell. All bleeding stops eventually...
