Crw, I would start doing 50% water changes every week with dechlotinator if possible. That'll ensure your water quality is good.

That would definitely do it. It would work a few times, but buying a whole new filter will eventually kick up a "mini cycle" which would kill off one if not all your fish. Go buy an aquaclear 110 and you won't ever have to touch the filter again. Just don't use the carbon that's included. Keep up weekly water changes of at least 50%.

Think Ive figured it out...faulty heater, the water was EXTREMELY warm. The fish were blooted and smelled like they had been dead for several days. I noticed the smell when I came down and the water was very foggy, when it was clear the night before and the fish were alive. This is the only thing I can contribute it to. I talked to fellow today that had the same thing happen to him. Presently I am in the process of cleaning tank and will restart in a few days. Thanx to everyone for their response and help. Calvin
