  • Well, got it restarted!

If some of yall remember, I had a disaster with my fish tank and all my fish died overnight...well I cleaned it and ran it a week with just water, then bought 7, 20cent goldfish, that was 3+ weeks ago and I only lost 1 goldfish, good bacteria growth/algae being produced, everything looking good. Today I purchased 3 Spotted corys. I really dont want to kill the goldfish, so what do yall usually do with the starter fish? In the past most of them would die.

Have you tried taking them back to where you bought them from?

Just give em to a local store or give them away for free. Next time you can use Seachem Stability when you add your livestock and not have to use starters. Or ask one of us if you can borrow seeded media to help out your new filter.

This. If you go with Seachem Stability make sure to follow the directions on the bottle, don't just dose for one day. Seeded media or used filter floss works in the same fashion and free.

Glad to see you have your tank running again. You can take the little goldfish back to the store But they make good bait at the lake too.
