Maybe going with a double trio just in case this male can't seal the deal?

There are plenty left.. and I thought about that too.. I like them, but right now I dont have the 75 up and running yet so i dont want to get to many fish for now, until I can see what the 75 is going to end up holding :)

We will see what the future holds :)

The sooner the better.. but reality says another 3 weeks the way I see it.   The major hold up is the stand... but I cant do anything about that until other things gets fixed in the house etc...  Then on top of that my car decided it needed help and that took away money set a side for the 75..   (close to $100 took care of the problem with the car, but that is $100 less for the 75 until about 3 weeks from now)

The car had a bad ignition coil relay.   It was easy to fix, took some time to troubleshoot, but once replaced... the car went from shuddering to purring like a cat..  EK I will not forget you if I have a major break down.  It was the extra money I had saved up for getting the 75 up and running quicker that I had to use :(  which means it will just be longer to get up.  Cost of part $75... labor = none (did it together with Nick) but time consumed about 3 hours trouble shooting and installation :(

Those Maxima's if kept in good condition are money makers!

Its a 1999 Maxima GLE... with close to 141k miles on it.  Its starting to show its age, but its still nice inside and out... :)

Being the male is about 2" in size and the two females are about 1.5" in size... how old do you all believe this fish to be ?  I hope these fish will grow fast and the male giving me some color by the summer :)

I just read that the male will start developing color at about 2-1/2".  

Might be sooner than Summer!  :)

Now I am perplexed....
Since inserting these three fish everything went normal until yesterday.  I looked and noticed that 11 out of 13 baby guppies are gone.. I was thinking okie... someone got hungry and ate them.. I feed them twice a day so they should be pretty full and not wanting extra food.. now I notice that two of the guppy males are gone...  a red tail and a black tail...  I cannot find their body and I cannot see who's mouth they would fit into..  the yellow labs who have been in the same tank for a month had all opportunities to eat them but has not.  Only until I put the Hemitilapia oxyrhynchus has things been disappearing.. problem I have with the theory that they ate them..  one they eat all the food I put in there.. second neither guppy could even fit partially much less the whole fish in their mouth..  (remember these fish are smaller/same size than the guppies.

Like I said the only fish that could have gotten to them would be the yellow labs.. but why in the last two days... ??
