Did NLS get a new formula or something? My most recent bucket of 1mm cichlid pellets seems different than my past buckets. I've always fed with powerheads running without issue, but with this newer bucket the pellets get softer, quicker and just get shredded in the powerhead. I'll have debris in the tank for 30min after feeding. Anyone else notice a difference? I've been using this bucket for maybe 3-4 months now

I've noticed that but thought it was normal since I've been using nls for about 6 months it's not to bad filters out in about 15 mins

It was never this bad, for me at least. Normally pellets are dense enough to stay at the bottom for a couple minutes before they start getting soft (and by then, theyve been eaten), but im just watching these pellets be soft and being lifted up 10" from the sandbed and going straight into the powerhead

same here, mine sink and stay in the bottom. maybe you got a bad batch.

I'll probably just go try a little container from petco and see if its good or not. I'm hoping I just got a bad batch

yeah it may be. i got my 5lb bucket from amazon about a month ago.

I swore my 1mm in the new blue bucket was smaller than the 1mm in the old buckets. But I use so much 2mm & 3mm IDK. I even called Sonny and sent him pics. Could be something to this.

Yeah, I'm using the new blue bucket stuff. Not sure if I notice the size but maybe its just not as dense

Maybe cheaping out on quality for more $$? Economy is in a slight decline, so maybe they're trying to compensate?
