  • Blind cave tetras

I'd like to get my hands on some blind cave tetras for my 20gal. Do any of you guys know a retailer in Houston that definitely has them in stock? Also I'm a bit unsure about my stock in my aquarium if I have the space or if they are compatible! So far I have one male betta, five black neon tetras, about seven corydoraS, and one clown pleco as well as like 8 ghost shrimp. It's a 20gal tall and it is planted with 3mossballs, a few java ferns along the sides of the tank an anacharis plant an amazon sword and Anubis do I have the space for about another five tetras if not ill just replace the black ones some how thanks in advance your awesome!

I'm pretty sure I seen some over at the petco at beltway 8 and wallsivlle on the east side of houston. I would call them first before you head out there. I think it was about 2 or 3 weeks ago I seen them....

Just commenting on the stock/setup since i dont know who currently has them....you should be ok space and compatibility. they are a schooling fish so plan on getting around 6 or so. i have seen them get a little nippy if not in a school. betta fins may also be attractive to them to nip a little. sounds like you have enough plant cover and they do like darker environments.

just test the water as normal. i go by the "1 inch per gallon" rule in terms of fish in the tank, although i have seen tanks well beyond that suggestion. depends on your filtration and cleaning.
