Am i being ripped off!

I bought a wet dry off of ebay that was listed as a Pro Clear 200 and had the picture that is shown 1st below.  What i recieved looked like the second picture.  It has all the regular Pro Clear stickers, but obviously has a different water entry method into the wet dry.  Does Pro Clear even make a wet dry like this?

Looking at the design it seem it would be quieter then the top one!

its not that i dont like the design, its that i dont want to pay name brand price and recieve a none name brand

Looks like the old model versus the new model.  I have 2 old models (1st picture) and 2 new models (2nd picture)

I like the slide out tray of the new one versus the replacement design of the old one better.  They function about the same overall.

then im good.  i just wanted to make sure it was a pro clear.  The PC website didnt show any that look like the one i got(new version).

it will be going on my 125.  I may also get an eheim 2250 or 2260 to go with the wet/dry.  have not yet decided though.

i am loving my ehiem i got way back when, cus i finally got it running on a tank and you cant tell i have anything running in the room at all, would have to have my ear next to it to hear the motor. and the other good thing about having a back up filter is in case one goes out the fishies arent screwed. but even a big powerhead as a back aerator works too for that. (often hooked up to like a computer back up supply or something similar in case of power outage, i am of course speakin in hypotheaticals cus i dont have the cash for systems that nice, but i would if i had a tank that big )

I would go with Eheim 2260 if your looking to add a canister.

Why do you think this wet-fry will not be enough?

If you just looking for more movement in the tank, I would get powerheads or waterjet pumps.

i was just looking for more movement and filtration because of the Giraffe Cat and future Large Frontosa's.  I was thinking about a powerhead, but the giraffe cat throws so much sand it would probably ruin the impellar.

I would get a powerhead or turbo pump at or near the surface  The powerheads would probably be a better choice near the surface because the turbo pumps move so much water they might make a gurlging sound if they are too close to the top.

How big is this giraffe cat??

i would say hes about 12".  There is a decent thread about it in General fish forum
