  • Whiteblast glass sand

I went to go buy my usual black sand Black Diamond sandblasting sand and they talked me in to trying something better and is new. Looks very nice and sparkly white with some other black color but a tiny bit. It's called Whiteblast. It is made out of glass they are now using it in the place of pool sand for pools. Same texture and size as sand and no silica. $17 a 50# bag http://www.canfieldjoseph.com/locations-fort-worth.php. Here is the tank finished I love it it really makes the tank pop. Just make sure to wash it good there are some small pieces of white plastic tiny bit I noticed when you pour the water out it will come out. Then empty all the water out and then put vinegar in it and boil some water and add that to it. Then I washed it out and boiled more water. Washed it out then added water and your dechlorinator then add to the tank

    Tank finished

    Has has very good texture

very very nice tank, if you have a deep blue background it will pop out your tank with your glass sand. I have one question on this glass sand " in long term glass will get dirty and how you clean them and how you can maintain the PH because it Glass not the real sand" I Just want to know hope it is not stupid question.

Very nice! I've been looking for this in my area-no luck. Harbor Freight Tools has some white sandblasting sand, but not inexpensive like this!
                  Thanks so much,
                  Lydia
