I have a 135 and a 75 that have been up and running for some time now. The down side is they are full of fish and in my 135 I have two pairs oF Black convicts that are ready to breed any day now plus another pair that is guarding some newly hatched fry. I need to move these tanks to my new place this weekend and I am looking for advice on how to make this move as painless as possible. I was thinking of buying a bunch of 5 gallon buckets to drain the water into and then putting the fish into once of these for the move. I would then move the tanks and then set them back up with the water I have saved in buckets. i am thinking that i only need 50 percent of the water for each tank. I wouls also load the sand and gravel from each tank also. The move is only about 15 minutes away so it would only be about and hour or more before I started setting them back up. Will this work or is there some things I should be aware of or look out for? Because I am moving them in this fashion is there a chance of the tank cycling again?
Just looking fo anyones thoughts or opinions on this. Surely i am not the only one who has ever had to move tanks with live fish before.
thanks in advance
Chris
