I would really like to know exactly what is in my tap water. Can someone suggest a test kit that would test for chlorine, chloramines, and any other bad stuff that we are trying to protect our fish from. I am just curious. My tap water now is from a mud district but they are doing construction to get water from Lake Conroe. I currently use Prime (about to switch to safe) and use a carbon bottle buy i am curious now what it has and what will change when they use the lake Conroe water. Thanks.

I'm not sure but I have heard of people having their water tested, but not sure what agency or company they use to test it. Maybe a pool company can give you those specifics if you take a sample to them. Possibly may have a pool test kit that might tell you those levels.Live Fast, Die Young, Leave A Good Looking Corpse!

i am sure there are companies that would test your water...pool or the water company i think the water company sends me reports yearly about statistics of the water. i personally havent had problems with chlorine levels, but i use concentrated dechlorinator and usually double dose to be sure.
