Can y'all help me with my 55 gal? It was donated in several parts by members here a couple years ago. I have stage 4 breast canSer and was suffering EXTREME panic attacks. I knew a tank next to my bed would help me stay calm and I was right. :) I love my tank and the members here. Everyone has been so loving and helpful!!

Of the fish I was given, I ended up with a VERY prolific pair of shellies! I love them so much. I have SO many fry and now some of them have started to breed even. I would like to turn this tank into a planted shellie tank, but I need shells and BIG pieces of holy rock. I also have some dark green algae "polka dotting" my glass that my algae eater and plecos can't seem to take care of. I have no idea how to clean it all off. Can you put any other kind of fish in with a bunch of shellies??? I would LOVE some color or long fins. One male beta?? lol a bunch of fancy male and female guppies?? I would love some Malawi chiclids, but I am afraid they would eat the shellie fry. Are there any super easy grasses?? Some that are flowing and long and some others that creep along the ground??

      Any ideas???
