making these doors open will not reduce the strength of the cabinet right? I want to unscrew them and use the kitchen cabinet magnet idea so they come off completely when maint time is due....

24 views isnt much and its hard to say without pics.
If the doors were screwed on from the get go as part of the design yes it may well affect the I integrity of the structure as id bet it does offer support.
If thats the case I wouldn't take the doors off without re enforcing the cabinet somehow.

So if I am reading your thread correctly...
You want to take off doors on your stand that do not open? I am guessing then you are just looking at paneling (made to look like a door). If you want to create a door I would cut your opening > use a 2x4 for the middle support and then install cabnet doors on both sides of the 2x4.
For suggestion sake please do not make any alterations until we truely know what we are working with.

O man that is a great opportunity for a bi-folding door!
You could remove the middle twig (support) and use the two other supports to stabilize your load. With the middle support gone you can make a flush bi-folding door or even your idea of magnet insert.
