do your puffers talk to you?  my green spotted puffer talks to me.  lol.  he makes a clicking chatting, grinding kinda noise.  its cute

I named this guy Thumper because he's got rabbit teeth.

Davis calls the other one Choppers.

He did once, but I don't think it was because he was happy and saying sweet things to me.  He had chomped down on a piece of the foil that comes off the packets of bloodworms and it got caught in his teeth, so I had to net him to get it out of his mouth.  He clicked, chatted, and made that grinding noise.  But I think he was cussing me.   8O

sit at night and listen close. they click and chatt and grind all night if they talk to each otehr. when i had 2 they did that.  my one though,  he does it when me or my wife come close.  specially when hes hungry

imagirlgeek, congrats on your new addition. He's so cute. And there is no need to worry he is totally a fresh water puffer. You don't ever have to go brackish with him. I just love puffers, they are so cool to watch.

We call them Cheech & Chong because they are a little green around the gills.

I cant put any other fish in with mine. He'll kill anything in the tank.

Scott got away with putting goldfish in with his. I put a goldfish in with mine that was just slightly smaller. He followed it around the tank for 30 seconds, then bit its face off. It was horrible. He didnt have the ability to eat the fish, so he just picked at it and i had to throw it in with the snails.(It was dead already.)
