  • F1 or F2 trophs & petros

So I was talking to someone and was told that f1 and f2 are the same I mean what do people prefer f1 or f2 is there a difference between the two does the color of the fish look different this is for trophs and petros

    And should prices differ??

The difference starts with F0 which are wild caught when the breed the babies are F1 when 2F1's breed they make F2's and so on.... Prices do differ but also you have to account for rareity and availability

Any fish that breeds with a fish of a certain filial generation, the fry will be considered a generation after the most recent filial generation. If a wild fish breeds with an F1 fish the fry will be considered F2. All of it is over rated in my opinion. Not too many people keep fish long enough and continue to breed the offspring with each other to create many problems anyway.

Most definitely overrated !! Fry is fry to me.....The price should be the same regardless of the generation . Jmo

Agree with Dave... unless there is some kind of fish pedigree, I assume the majority people lie about the generations anyway
