Swapping tanks

I'm picking up a 125 for my trophs today, and I need to swap it out with my 55, but my issue is that the 125 needs to go where the 55 is now. I've got a couple ideas on how to manage this, but would appreciate some other perspectives. What would you do?

Put them in nets In ur70g then just take the tank down

I have 18 lol you got some nets I can borrow? Right now I'm thinking buckets and tubs, a quick breakdown and setup, then as soon as my temps are matched I'll throw em in. I have 40 pounds of sand with good bacteria, but I'm gonna have to add another 80 or so pounds, but I'm thinking with my established media I should be fine to put em back in an hour later

Just put them in With the adults and catch them out when u do a wc on the corner tank

They'd be hard to catch without doin a rescape on the 70, but that would give me more time to let the tank re-establish. Cooler always work, but then I'm limited on time (I have a male who is itching to make babies). Decisions, decisions

You can drain down the 55g to just under 1/4 and move it out of the way. Plug everything back in and refill the water. Just like it was a water change.

Use a cooler of buckets. I've kept large petros in coolers like this with air bubblers and did 90% water change daily for a week. Even fed them. I wouldn't use another tank because that's gonna be more stressful trying to catch them when the new tank is ready.

If you have a place that it can sit. You can take your time setting up the125.

Now that could work, I like your thinkin. You think it's safe to move a 55 with 15 gallons of water though? If i do that, I'll be removing all the sand first

I moved my 55g that way from one room to another. Just be careful and go slow.
