critter cage

So I was dumb and bought a used 40b critter cage to use as an aquarium. It was filled with water when I got there so I thought nothing of it. I got home, the glass is clearly thinner. Im not going to risk it using it as a tank, but how would it work as a sump, maybe 50% water?

Worth trying? Or should I just scrap it

I wouldn't. They're not rated to hold water, it'd probably just be a matter of time until you burst a seal or something goes wrong. That's my opinion, though...it might work, I just wouldn't want to take that chance!
