  • Fish Gallery Filter Sand

Where does fish gallery get their sand? I am looking for really white filter sand does anyone know where I can get some?

It's the same company Leslie's pool supply used. I have some from Leslie's and some from fish gallery. Fish galleries is different though as it does not contain the larger colored rocks. You can buy fish gallery sand, $20 for 50 lb

I wish I would have know this before i redid my aquarium. I figured there sand was expensive since everything else in that store is. I got the leslie's pool filter sand and like it but would have done fish gallery's for the same price.

Ya I ended up using 100 lb in my 150. By far their sand is the nicest and whitest I have found. Here is my 150 with it in there.

Try AquaQuartz, they sell it at Ace Hardware and it's the best sand I've ever used. If they don't have in stock pay online and they'll have it delivered to the store within a week

Very clean sand, same look as above picture

AquaQuartz is identical to the sand in the picture, I know because I'm looking at both. Beyond that, I've never seen white sand and if there was I darn sure wouldn't touch it unless I had diapers on my fish

My sand is the whitest you will find unless you pay top dollar which isn't worth it. Keeping it clean depends on filtration. I run a 2262 with a power head and there is no visible fish poop on the sand.

                        I was wrong anyway...because I didn't read entire post

The aquaquartz is the same color as the Leslie's which apparently is not the same as the Fish Gallery sand

                        Sorry
