  • Blasting Media Substrate (Glass Beads Specifically)

I saw the one thread where the OP was using Whiteblast for their substrate, has anyone else used that material, or something similar, and if so where did you purchase it?

Tractor supply store, it's a pain to keep clean though

would you say it's harder to clean than straight pebbles?

Pebbles are harder to clean, but hide all the waste in the pockets. Blasting sand isn't as hard to clean, but the waste cakes on top of it and it looks horrible. I prefer pool filter sand any day

I have some white sandblast media. It's to light for my Geo's but looks great in the tank. PF sand will always look cleaner. White just shows everything.
