    Now that I've got my air setup in the fishroom, I run sponge filters on all the tanks in there, but occasionally hang an aquaclear on a tank if it looks like it needs a little extra filtration or if I want to 'seed' the filter for a tank in another room (usually when I'm anticipating a fish order).

        Its so nice to see you all having a little fun.. but I am still thinking that Nick is growing blind...  his signature gets bigger and bigger..  or maybe its because he has other problems he has to show off :)  FL -- know of any meds Nick could take for this ?

            FL -- you could be correct there...  but then again I was not going to step there... because it could lead to trouble, some of which I may not be able to walk away unscathed from.          and then there is the part that I like Nick.. he is such a nice guy and I would not want him to think badly about us :)

              <--I bought a long sponge from frII a couple of months ago and I am still using it to make prefilters for all of my intakes.  This is especially helpful now that i have the baby cories.... OMG spot...they are are CUTE!!! AND growing.  All of my intakes, even for my canister have prefilters over tthem. (remember the reactions to my angels sucked up against the intake?)
              5.5 fw fluval chi - class N top bar snake chested endlers/ red marble bn/ 4 stripe RCS/ pumpkin shrimp
              20 sw cube - a few damsels and a colony of bristleworms
              29 fw - self cloning crayfish..which can't seem to clone haha
              29 fw - mollies / albino bristlenose / ghost shrimp and snowball shrimp/ glo danios
              29 fw - crs/ amano/tiger shrimp /assassins/ whiptails/ plants/ 3 emerald cories
              55 fw - steatocranus casaurius (20ish)/ tetras/ rainbows/large Jack Dempsey
              75 fw - large Jack Dempseys / pictus cat/ yoyo loach/ Red gippicep              / 10+" oscar/ parrot

                I just get the Aqua Clear replacement 50, cut an "X" in the top, to 2/3 of the way down, then slide it on the intake tubes. If you are running the big one, you will need a bigger sponge.This has been keeping my Cherry shrimp out of the filters.

                  thanks. today i bought an extra aquaclear 110 filter.  im gonna cut it up and make prefilters.  thanks for the ideas and help

                    Most LFS's sell the big foam blocks used for wet/dry filters....those could be cut into multiple pieces and isn't but like $5.

                    As for DRAG KING.....
