                If you like cichlids then yes a variety of shellies would work given the long tank for territories.

                other options:

                badis (scarlet have great color)
                pea puffers
                pygmy sunfish
                endlers
                pearl danios
                rasboras

                    As much as I love cichlids, you might have got me on the pea puffers. Puffers would keep my lady happy too

                          Haha no worries, I'll talk to Roy if I end up going with shrimp. I think the Sulawesi and Neocaridina might work but I'll have to ask around first
