  • Hydor Koralia on a 20 gallon long

I need some advise. My 20 gallon long aquarium contains mostly native fish such as gold shiners, rainbow dace, bullhead minnows, rough shiners, very small jade gobys, mollies, and tadpole madtom catfish. Since it is a non heated aquarium, it also contains hillstream loaches and high finned chinese suckers. Since the last 2 fish like currents and high oxygen in the water, I am considering adding a Hydor Koralia pump to increase water flow and turbulance. Question is, which model should I get? How much is TOO much?
These are the models I found:
Hydor Koralia Nano - 256 GPH
    Hydor Koralia 1 - 400GPH
    Hydor Koralia 2 - 600GPH
    Hydor Koralia 3 - 850GPH
    Hydor Koralia 4 - 1200GPH

There is some flow already from 3 powerheads and an emperor filter, but I know the hillstream loaches appreciate more.

    Thanks :)

Probably the 1 or the 2.

The Koralia's flow is widely dispersed so it will cover a wider angle but at a shorter distance. I have the Koralia Nano in my Nanocube12g along with a mj900 and want to add another K.Nano.

If its a standard 20 go with the Hydor Koralia 2 only if you would like the flow to get to the other end of the tank.

        It's a 20g long, so should I go for 3?

I would stick with the 2....the 3 is probably gonna be too much for those other fish.

Quoc not if he wants to see the fish plastered to the other side of the tank.

Plastered eh......I have one of those Nano powerheads hooked up in my 20long....The pink convicts made their home below it since I have it mounted lengthwise and the other 2/3 of the tank is uninhabitable due to the extreme current....
