Hello all, I'd like to extend an invitation for you to join us on Facebook. The Houston Cichlid Club is a community of almost 700 aquarium lovers sharing experiences, making friends, and working to increase the number of aquarium enthusiasts in the Houston area. This is by no means a replacement for HFB, but rather a supplement (we send people here ALL the time).
We work to bring new life to some of the older clubs, while also inspiring new groups. We do tank and equipment giveaways at certain membership milestones (rimless 2.5 giveaway coming up at 700 members). We just held our first official swap meet, with over 70 members in attendance, which included wild caught pleco raffles courtesy of Charles Jones, cichlid raffles courtesy of Josiah Payne, and a rimless nano cube giveaway courtesy of yours truly, as well as numerous great deals on used equipment and plenty of equipment swapping. We hope to keep growing and someday become the premiere group for Houston cichlid enthusiasts, bringing more auctions and major events to our city.
I hope you will join us in our endeavors. We do not compete with any groups, but instead work in cohesion to produce the greatest influence possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me. Thanks HFB.
