** Pictures coming soon.. look for them here **

First I want to thank Mike (MikewhoTroung) and Diem, Reba (dblondefemme), Mike's friend Jason, our friends Steve & Terri and my roomate Nick.

I put up two tanks and move another two.
The new tanks are my 70 and my 75.
The 70 is getting clear, but the 75 with the black sand is off bad.  I hope tomorrow when it has settled down etc.. that things will look good.. :)

Till they are clear and good looking, I am not going to post pictures.
Everything on them are running and I am happy :)
    Fish are moving tomorrow.

    Keep smiling :)
    Jesper

Diem said, " HEYYY!!! What about me??? I tended to Mike so that he could tend to your tanks...." with a SMILE. She was just joking though Jesper. It was fun, nothing like working on a friends tank for 4 hours after a good day of working on tanks.
I just enjoyed being with everyone.

So what all is going to be in the tanks?
Does the 70 have sand as wel?
            Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

              Re: New tank setups

The 70 has gravel and Mike setup a nice landscape for it.  Its more ready than the 75.    I put black sand in the 75 and Mike, Jason and Steve cleaned the living out of the sand..  Still its extremely dirty in there...  you cannot see 6 inches into the tank.  There are just that many floating particles.   The Wet/dry has been running now for about 8 hours on it.. still not much better.. which I had not expected.

Today I hope to add fish to the 70 and bring some of the fish for the 75 home and let them sit in the hospital tank for a while until the 75 is clear enough for me to put in rocks that I want to put into it.

The best news was that once Nick (roomate) saw the tanks and we got them setup and running he was impressed..  This will hopefully allow me to late this year or maybe next year to move one or two tanks around.. and buy my 180 / 210 tank.

                Re: New tank setups

You know sometimes you realize you have things in your "fish medicine cabinet" while you type things out to your HFB friends..  I remembered a LONG time ago when I got into the fish business (like 9 months ago) that I bought some Kent Marine Pro Clear to clean up what was at the time a bacteria bloom.  I didnt know better so I poured some into the tank and well... of course it didnt work back then.

While I was writing the last post I put some into tank.   10 minutes later... and there is a NOTICEABLY difference in clarity in there.  I am so happy !!!!

Lets see what it looks like in an hour :)

                  Re: New tank setups

I just love the anticipation, glad you had so much help.
It was nice running into you yesterday, always a pleasure.
If your referring to the black sand you got from me, yeah, that stuff is filthy, it took me just a little over an hour to clean enough for my 125, and that wasn't even half of what should have been in there.

I too, look forward to seeing your pictures, good luck.

                    Re: New tank setups

Its clearing nicely up now that I put the kent Marine Pro Clear in there.. Its obviously what was needed because what it does its positive ions being added to your tank and the negative ion particles bonds, and makes the particles big enough for them to be caught in a fine filter mesh or start settling to the bottom because they are heavy enough now to settle.  I cannot wait to come home tonight from Mike's with fish :)  I am jumping up and down with anticipation right now.

CF it was great to see you and FL out and about and I am SUPER happy to have taken you both over to T&T's.  I hope the yoyo loaches you all got there are going to perk up the tank :)  FL you will have to tell us more how yours are doing once settled in.  Btw... they CLEARED my tanks of snails.. so just know.. they will eat all the small ones up.  Might have to move mine over to the 70 because I noticed there are a few living in there.. and they do a great job or removing them :)

it was nice seeing you too jesper.....
the yo yo's are settleing in nicely i say.....they have established residence on the left end of the 135.....it's funny to watch their little mustaches wiggle as they move around the tank.....
as far as cleaning up snails....i say if you can find them then you must eat them......

can't wait to see your tanks too.....
glad it's clearing up for you....
