Bought one used and just when I was about to connect the fx5. Crack!!! It's started dripping in the right rear corner. I don't know what happened to be honest. So Im in in the process of draining it right Now. I don't know what to do now /:

Crack started from way up top where my finger is and went straight towards the bottom corner. Is it because the tank is old?

Damn man. That sucks. It's doubtful that it was the heater. More like something that was there or something that happened during transit home.

Sorry about your bad luck . I'm with Barrett on this one ....."it's most likely to be something that happened during transit ". Age of a tank means nothing when it comes to the glass . Age only effects the silicone seams .

Fish land has the aqueon 125 for 315 and the Marineland on sale for 295. What route should I go? The aqueon is divided in 3 pieces up top and the Marineland is only 2

Thats your call. I have always used tanks with only 2 openings in the top.

I personally just set up a 125 aqueon. I like it. If I was you, look at each one, and what you want to keep in it. If you want large pieces of driftwood, or rocks, I would get the two openings. Check the seals, and look to see which one looks cleaner.

Both are good tanks. Whatever you do, make sure the stand is nice and flat to prevent any pressure points on the glass.

I would get the Marineland if you like the black silicone. I think Marineland has better clarity.

Did it crack when you are filling? Make sure your stand is level and has good bearing on the ground. I think the uneven ground surface is the culprit.

Yeah it cracked about an hour after I was done. Im going to have to check to see if the stand is straight. Because honestly I remember me seeing it a little uneven.
