  • 20Gal Long!

Crizz and I got ourselves 20gal longs from Petsmart today! I'm on the lean side of my job right now so I was able to justify $20 for a new tank. I'm just not happy with the size of the 10gal like I was years ago. I have to do something about a stand though since I only have the metal stand for the 10gal at 20" long.

    Look out fish stores!

I believe you can buy on their website and pick up later.

That's what I did, just to make sure they had what I wanted. It said you have 5 days to pick it up before it's cancelled.

I can't speak to that one specifically, but fish gallery had a ton of plants when we went in today.

Yeah fish gallery has some decent plants though they come with extra critters...lol. Had 3 snails pop out of the plants I got from them. Not sure I can consider them a bonus or not.

Yeah, I got 3 pretty big snails in the group. All the little snails are welcome though, since I got pea puffers it's just dinner for them!

I definitely have a pond infestation. Pea puffers are sounding better after each post I read. I got a 20g and a 40g last year during the $1 a g sale but I gave away the 20G and still haven't used the 40g yet. I seen some nice stands awhile back on amazon

Snails are food but guppies are not?

Pea puffers are great for the snail prob.. They will eat all small snails, but they can't eat the bigger ones.
I have pond snails, mts snails, trumpet snails, and rams horn snails. They are all like roaches to me. I got the puffers to keep them under control. the bigger snails I remove every time I see one. Now I don't ever see any and am having to feed puffers now.
