hi guys ..new here..and i am interested in pets..and have many at my home...i bought a separate home for them..i have cats
...dogs..and horses...and i bear their expenses by making their pet-portraitshope you also like these and now i am develping interest in fishes..i have a lot space in that pet home and now wana to make a pond their...now please will you
people guide that which type of fishes i must keep???and is it a easy job..and what type of weather condition is nesessary

welcome to the box tonny99....are those paintings your work?...if so your very talented i must say....
i don't know alot about ponds.....but you can keep Koi in them i know.....
i'm sure that alot of people on here can give you the heads up on other fish that you can keep in the pond as well....good luck with it.....i hope to see paintings of the fish that you do...

for ponds there is a lot to consider. Here in the Houston area it doesn't get too cold which is good for fish keeping but heat can become a factor. The number of fish and type of fish you can keep will depend on the size of the pond. You will also need to give consideration to the location of the pond with respect to the amount of sunlight on the pond during the day. Having cats and dogs around is also good to keep birds and other animals out of the pond and away from your fish. You should also think about what style of pond you would like. Asian style pond, monster fish, catfish or a mix of different fish with no real theme. This will determine some fish options as well.

We have about a 600g pond with all Koi. I would like to have about 1200g with Koi and Arrowana and maybe a nice catfish.

I'm happy to offer any information I can. At one point last year I retired and started a pond business so I can offer you some guidance if you like and give you some places to go for materials and livestock. As for the pond business that was more work than a retirement business and made me realize I really enjoyed what I was doing before.
