  • Need a recommendation for a filter for a 10g

I have a nice 10g lightly planted, that is home to my colony of Least Killifish. I am in the process of upgrading the top and the lights, and I wanted to put a better filter on the back. It has a hang on filter now with a single filter bag, but ideally I want something that has a bio wheel. Anyone got any ideas? It has to hang on the back since this tank sits on a table. I have no space elsewhere for equipment...

We have some Marineland Penguin Bio-Wheel Power Filters for our 10g tanks and they are compact and very very quiet.  I would recommend them for a small tank.

Hagen AquaClear HOBs are awesome and you won't be stuck with having to buy media labeled "aquaclear" or finding the right bio wheel.  I tend to over filter a bit with them or buy the next one above what they recommend.  Also shop around.  I've seen a $10-$15 dollar difference between retailers.

+1 for Aquaclear. I like how you can cram them with whatever media suits you. I got one with an AC sponge, floss, Kent Organic Adsorption Resin and BioMax all stacked in.

When you get ready to raise kilie fry
you'll need one of these.  About 3.5"  cube,  it's great for a bare 5 or 10g tank
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

I need one of those for my shrimp tank!! I have to use a micromesh bag over the intake now  - looks very amateur! But these aer Least Killifish which aren't killies at all, they are liverbearers in fact the smallest vertebrate live bearer in the world!
