made some decor

I made these from pices of PVC pipe... I used aquarium silicone to keep them together.... I found thibn slate at home depot.. in the garden center... still trying to come up with a unique aqua-scape for the tanks.... so far the fish get a new setting each water change... (weekly)  

also made for my loaches... I got one of those plastic clear yellow tubes you use for floresent lights.. (a cover ) and cut it into 12" pieces and buried them in the gravel next to the front of the tank... you can see in.... they like to go in there.... cheap... kinda like a ghost fish tube....

does any one have any creative items you have made?  

I removed all the HOley rock.. it was making the PH go up....

You can silicone gravel to the tubes to hide it some....or use clay pots as base and pile rocks around to give the look of a massive rockpile without the added weight.

I have used the silicone with pvc and slate before. But I siliconed the pvc on the back of the slate and stood the slate up so that you could not see the pvc. I have also stuck plants in the pipe, until my fish ate all my plants. Anyway here is a front view and side view to give you an idea.

that's really ingenius edmlfc.....i like that idea of hiding it by standing the slate up.....very good......
