Flowerhorn Pro?

Hey guys out of my 12 flowerhorns, 2 of them look like their scales are coming off?  At first I thought they were sick so I almost took them out.  However, they were swimming around and eating healthy.  Any of you guys that keep flowerhorns have any info.  Some people in the flowerhorn forum told me its a female kamfa?  I'm a little skeptic though because only 2 out of the 12 has it.
