  • Where do you get your fish food and what kind?

I would like to know where do most peep get there fish food and what kind do most of you use. I am a NLS fan, I buy from kens online and also get some of ken's pellets.

I use all kinds, some i look for when its on sale and get from my store ( a petsmart) some i get on clearance when im at other fish stores. some i win at our raffles or get at auction. but i use some of a lot of brands/ from hikari/ topfin/ omega one/ nutrafin/ and tetra/ and NLS as well. Hikari i use for frozen and some of their sinking food discs/ topfin i use for some basic flakes and bloodworms(freeze dried) / omega one i use there flakes (one of my favorites just kinda expensive) / Tetra i use there cichlid crisps and my fish love them (also expensive food though). I like mixing foods for a variety of reasons. but my fish seem to love the mix (and breed on it a lot)

I only use NLS for just about everything and was able to set up a group buy for 5lb buckets not too long ago.

        Depends on who I'm feeding.

We got 5 lbs. of the NLS Large Cichlid formula on the group buy EK arranged recently.

We feed the Trophs Cichlid Excel and Spiralina flakes and buy that wherever we happen to go when we need some.  We also feed NLS Thera-a in moderation and got that at Fish Gallery.

Feeders and frozen bloodworms for the Dats and Frontosa.  We buy the frozen bloodworms at T & T Fish and Reptile.  They always have a full box so we don't have to just pick up a few packs at a time.

And of course the standard Hikira large pellets and whatever tropical flakes as a staple for everyone except the Trophs.

We used to buy 5 lbs. of Aquadine Krill pellets at Fish Ranch, but haven't since we got the NLS from EK.
