Folks, this guy has forgotten more about angelfish, discus, fancy guppies and others than the rest of us never knew!  He is a guru and a super-nice person to boot.  If you are ever curious about angelfish, you'll want to see his hatchery.  He is very generous with his knowledge and gladly shares what he knows about breeding and raising fish.

P.S.  Obed, after 15 years I finally have my first pair of parent-raising angels.  They are really nice silvers.  They must have had hidden gold cuz half of the fry appear to be gold.  So cool to watch the parents with fry.

Becky, Judy is doing great. She can do nothing else, she is really what makes me tick, without her insight, I would be blind. I will tell her that you posted here, she will be glad to hear from you.  I am glad to hear that you have a parent raising pair, when space is limited they are a real blessing. Next time you are in the neighborhood, stop by, it would be good to see you. Keep going with those tanks and you will have a sure'nuf hatchery before you know it.

Well, I'm not a breeder, and don't plan to be in the foreseeable future, but I think they are about the most beautiful fresh water fish I've ever had.

Right now, I have one gold and 2 stripped angels in my 75, and once I have the 55 up and running, I'll be in the market for some koi angels. I know you breed those Obed, along with a couple of other folks I've met at the LHA meetings.

I got the substrate laid down in my 55 last night, and will be filling it with water and plants this weekend.

Is 6 angels too many in a 55? I plan on having a few small loaches in there also.

Well Obed, I'm getting more into them now that you gave me the tour of your setup! Thanks! And thanks again for letting me get the angels from you. They're getting acclamated to the well water now. I'll post some pics when I get them settled in.
