Betta Question, Should I be worried?

About two months ago I purchased a beautiful Mustard Rosetail Betta. Recently he has begun to change color around his left eye, looking slightly green. In the first picture you can see how I bought him, the second shows what appears to be missing scales around his eye, and the third shows what he looks like now.

Please let me know what you guys think, I really want the best for my betta.

*EDIT: he looks and acts otherwise healthy as far as I can tell. I had a pleco in with him temporarily, but the pleco was acting territorial (hence the fin rips) so I pulled the pleco.

Could be symptoms of the stress from the pleco try adding some tannins to the water (Indian almond leaves etc...) feed him some good food and a few water changes he should perc up
