That before or after having his flipflops thrown at them!
HAHAHA! You so funny Nick
Duh! The manflops don't start flying until I start running :)
All men are created equal but his choices determine his value and what's in his heart determines his worth.
"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end"
opossums do not carry rabies...that's the good thing (their core body temp is too low to carry it). Also.. concerning the snakes, know that they will keep your area mouse free ;-)
I had a bad experience with an access panel to the tub, located near a hole under the house, also located on the top right beside the cat's food... which is in the bathroom off the master bedroom. Needless to say... 911 still has yet to send the fine for abusing 911 (no one would help me ). I did end up putting him into a big tote (holds 50lbs of dogfood) using a broom and a spotlight (he kept lunging and was bigger than my 25lb dog). I put it out on the porch (it was like 3am). I went to work... after making sure the cactus was secure on the top (yes, I put airholes in it). When I came home, I honestly don't think it was playing opossum. So... i marched down the road to the dumpster and pitched it in (knowing that if it were alive it could get out easily) with the knowledge I have neighbors who are dumpster divers. I lit a cigarette, sat outside with the dogs and grinned like a cheshire cat when I heard the scream as a neighbor pulled out what they thought was a perfectly good tote

Gee...what's up with all the panic and killing?
Garter snakes are so non harmful, nice reptiles with a definite useful side catching and eating rodents. I used to catch them as a tyke and keep them for a week or so before releasing them. Pretty snakes and non-aggressive.
Possums eat chickens and cat food...rural folks don't like'em around, but they are not mean by nature. I completely concur with their opinions of the Geeks.
Reba, if I was a 'possum, I'd be hanging at your house too.
Personally, I dig snakes; I spent a part of my (misspent) youth around Cobras, Pit Vipers, Reticulated Pythons, Anacondas, and various other interesting reptiles. I helped carry a 30' retic named Lucile to the vets in a garbage can for an injection, and how cool was that when we set the can down in the vets office and took out a small loop of thigh-sized snake? People grabbed their Poms and tabbies a bit tighter, the vet gave the shot, and we carried the heavy can back out to the station wagon. Took 3 people to handle her, but what fun!
You haven't lived until you find yourself standing 3-4' away from an annoyed Spectacled Cobra, and know that anti-venom is more than 30 minutes away. Ahh, the good ol' days!

those old cat fish just could not stop eating them. literally ate them self to death. these tadpoles seem to be different than the toads last year. much slower growing.i think these might be some frogs. i hope they are those green tree frogs. their numbers seem to be dwindling. have not seen gardner snakes in a couple of weeks.maybe tadpoles to small for them. did kill a copper head last wk.
I used to catch tons of garter snakes - kept them as pets. There weren't any poisonous snakes there (there was one kind, but only up in the blue hills) so it was safe to do so. Poisonous snakes bother me.
