I forgot to add that they have some freshwater STING RAYS!  Selling for $125 if memory serves correctly.  Their body width was around 5-7 inches or so, not including the tail.

i though FW rays are illegal in texas like piranhas ? it's always cool to see available fish list from LFS but it sucks not knowing the price of the fish. thanks for listing the prices rocket people like me want drive far not knowing whats available and how much it cost , but i will drive across town if i know what the LFS has and what they are asking for it.

All species of the family Potamotrygonidae are illegal. I'm assuming the ones for sale are different.

I found the post I was talking about...Mike's post too.

The only legal stingray in texas is the FRESHWATER ATLANTIC STINGRAY found in florida...the reason most pet stores dont want to carry them is the fear of being shipped the wrong one (because its hard to tell them apart) and get the wildlife and gameing comission on them...believe me, if its illegal..a pet shop wont have it displayed..from my expierences with other shops (no names) haha.. they would hide it somewhere..

i think its great what raul did

posting prices of lfs can save people from driving around needlessly

also helps to tell what they have in stock and maybe what condition they are in

more people should start doing this

i know this would help me

im sure it would help others as well, especially those of us who dont have free time like others to drive around town

This site is about sharing information!!  When someone starts a thread it sometimes expands.  I personally appreciate someone adding info about pricing or where to get whatever is being looked for.  If the people complaining don't like it, don't open it.  Thanks Raul

Yes, all this is good info and useful, but its posted in the wrong forum.  
The intent of the fish market is to bring buyers & sellers together.
General info has its own thread, as does retailer feedback.  

There are not enough hours in the day for the Volunteers that act as moderators
to police every thread every time a new post is made.
The box has grown too big and my fish need to be fed.  
so I tend to skip those I have no interest in
until I have a day with 25 hours in it.
So I'm just trying to remind you guys to play nice.
Not that I object to any of the posts here but
Some people will push the limits untill feelings get hurt.

These are not discussion forums. If you wish to purchase or trade, please post.
However, if you only wish to comment on the quality of someone else's trade item
or their price, with no intention of buying/trading, please keep it to yourself
