Re: Thinking about a Tang/Tropheus order

Ok then...agree or disagree....back to the topic.
I just want to know what people want....I'm trying to provide a list so people can speak up about what they want. Other lists, from other sources, will follow. I'm trying to give people a chance to get what they want rather than me trying to guess it on a regular basis.

Re: Thinking about a Tang/Tropheus order

Unless you get in touch with someone from the early to mid 90's, just about every sp.black Tropheus is going to be pondraised Burundi, or pondraised Floridia/California.

Judging from what I've seen on other lists, looks like Charles's list is a excerpt of Burundi Pondraised.

Charles, I greatly appreciate you offering to do this for people.  I think it is a great thing for the Housotn Area, to have someone who will bring in Tangs pondraised or wild, that helps get people the fish they want.  Your doing great...

Me, if it is not Petrochromis, Simmochromis, or Tropheus...it is not much of any interest to me.

Re: Thinking about a Tang/Tropheus order

I'm well aware that they're F1's and if you notice I never said that they were F0....I just took exception to someone who's never been here saying that most of the one's I bring are F1's. How can someone say that when I've only been in business for 2 months? There is no pattern to say most of what I bring is this or most of what I bring is that. I haven't been open long enough to establish a pattern. I opened this thread to give people an avenue to tell me what, from that specific list, they wanted. I realize delock tries to complain about the cost of gas every chance he gets, but its a given that fuel costs are included in the price of fish. I just figured that since he was bold enough to suggest a price that maybe he had an interest in the item he was suggesting the price for. Oh well....that's what I get for applying logic....and thanks, Geoff, for the kind words.

So....thus far I see interest in:
                Ocellatus
                Mastacembalus
                Bembas
                Cherry Spots

Charles, I think its great that you are asking us what would interest us.  Saves on you and us.

On the other hand, when I first saw the title on this thread it led me to believe that you were considering doing a wild caught order form overseas like Mike.  I saw after reading your thread that this was not the case.

Here is a site that has pics of some of the fish on your list.

Regardless of where it's coming from it's still great that you are catering to the people! That in it's own is GRADE A!

LMK if you place the order along with the elipsifer would be cool to have a biotope type tank where my tropheus graze the algae, petro herds them and elipsifer hunts the occasional fry

Re: Thinking about a Tang/Tropheus order

                      First...

By dealing with trophs for years I know how the pattern flow. And most are quick to say that everything is wild caught when the trend is to ship pond/ farm raise due to the over fishing of the lake. And yes the cost of gas have cause the price of shipping to go up from Africa or Florida or Califorina.  As a retailer you need to be able to take it all..good or bad. I posted what other people may be thinking about since most retailer on here feel there feeling may get hurt if you ask a question out the norm.

And if you dont know I only deal with dubs and petros. The trophs that I would like to get are not everyday trophs and I review my price lists often for those.

                      Second...

I have been to your shop..you were not around

                        Delock:

I'm sorry if I wasn't here....if I'm gone it's usually to get stuff for the store.
I'm really not sure what you're arguing....but I know I have to take the good with the bad. (See this argument)
If you look at the first post you can see that I specified which ones were wild caught.
                        I'm not most....I'm me.
Nothing to do with this store, dealing with fish, or dealing with customers will ever hurt my feelings.
And I know what fish you deal with....that's why I was surprised you were jumping in on things you weren't interested in.

Now if we could just stay on topic and use this thread for what it's intended:
To allow people to order stuff from the list.
