      Re: Real cloudy tank

I think they are keeping the name "Fish Ranch II" after firing the last owner.

"1800-seahorses" is a stench in their nostrils........

Try calling again and using the name "Fish Ranch"

You can also try these numbers

Liljack.. the cloudy tank should clear up in a few days... what you are seeing the natural progression of algae growing.   The brown stuff, get yourself a good algae eater and they will clean your tank spotless.  I decided a few weeks ago to "try" out a gold nugget and Royal Pleco, because I wanted to have some more colorful pleco's in my tank.  They have turned out to be better cleaners than any other pleco I have had.  When they clean the stone, they get it down to the point the stone is almost shining.   They need to have some drift wood in the tank but that easy (they need it in their diet)
They are expensive (mine cost $30/each) but to me they are worth it.  As I replace mine that are getting to big..
I have Bristlenose pleco's but they are still small.. so I dont know how good at cleaning they are in comparison.

Yes... brown is good. Those are diatoms.
Quite normal for a new tank.

You can either leave it alone and it will disappear eventually (might be a while) or try the plecos suggested above

BN's are pretty good, my BN has done real good cleaning, but they will sometimes change their mind on what they like if there are different types of algae's to choose from, plus they don't get big, only problem, they will skin amazon swords, so if you plan on keeing anything like amazon swords, i think bn is not an option, i've heard (don't know for sure) that other types of plecos also harm swords
