  • 5 foot / 60" tanks ----lighting for them Question

Ok just wondering what everyone does for lighting on a 5 footer.   Do the 48" light kits have legs the extend out 6" on either side? I understand that light bulbs come in the standard sizes. I have looked out there and didnt see one anywhere?

any infomation, insight would be great.

I want a high output light with standoffs for my new tank. Its almost 30" tall

He could probably find some workable lights at the warehouse.

Yeah that was what I was thinking.. he is going to need a fixture that is going to look good with this tank..
I would think buying a fixture online would prolly be the route to go.  Then he can get the color scheme he wants.

                        Canopy would settle that problem.

So is there any pendent lighting there?    I wanted to keep the top real clean and maybe not do a canopy.

Or maybe a hood that hangs down from the ceiling.

If you are gonna hang it then just go with a 48" or two halide pendents.
