  • Diamond Tetras and high Ph

Hello, I had a quick question and wanted some more experienced opinions. I have four really healthy Diamond Tetra (Red Eye tetra, I think is another name for them) These guys are alot of fun and I wanted to put them in a bigger tank that has alot of holey rock. I've read several places that you are to never put tetra with anything that is heavily alkeline. Is this a hard and fast rule or has anyone had other experiences?
    Thank you

I thought all the tap water around here is pretty alkaline...

I have seen rummy nose tetras faces melt off because of high akaline water or atleast that is what I was told.

      Not sure about others.

Most tetras do well in a tank with driftwood & live plants.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'
