Black spots on my blood parrott

He has a black spot on top of his head an a few freckles along the top of his back is this normal or does he need to go to the vet? the other one has no spots, so I thought maybe it was just his personal look.

Oh yeh...I bought another 125 from this cabinet maker and the stand is awesome looking! It has doors drawers and is really sharp,I`ll put up some pics later......Is there an AA(aquariums anonymous) group to stop you from buying more tanks!:) But I wanted to get stuff lined out before we get the store open so I can be ready for a Big one in there, I`m thinking it will be inside its own room where the only thing you see from outside is the tank,that should keep unwanted "stuff" out of the tank..

Anyway someone let me know about the Black Spots.......Thanx

If it's just discoloration then it's pretty much normal.

The black spots will occur on some fish and not on others, and have been attributed to things suchs as weather changes, to water quality.  I have several fish that the spots come and go on over time.  No matter how little or much water changes I do on those tanks, they are there and not there and then back again.
I am thinking more than anything else its something that is in the air that the fish does not like and it stresses the fish out a little.
Mine eat like they are in a frenzy and will come to my hand and eat...  I dont think they are stressed to the point they are listing.

I dont know what else to tell you but its never fun to look at when you believe your fish are sick and cannot do anything about it.

-- I like your suggestion of getting a tank in a room (or office with a window out into the store where people cannot get to the tank but can look at it from behind a glass window.)

I think it has something to do with melanin or something like that.

You also have to realize that Blood Parrots is a hybrid fish, whose natural colors may contain black spots or dark colors.

That was another thing I was gonna mention but mentioning hybrids usually stirs the pot with some people
