My brother new flowerhorn

Here is some pics of my brother's flowerhorn.  They are roughly 3 months old, and grown so fast.  The colors on them are really starting to turn red.  I'm so excited, so I decided to share some pics.  I do need to put some in another tank though.  Do you think one will do in a 40 gallon by itself?

i have one really looks like yours and i put it in my cichlid tank(55g). But im looking for other fish to trade my flower horn  since i can not keep it with other fish. Mine is about 2.5 inches and really healthy( just getting aggressive)

They need running space :(  You will need to get as a minimum a 55 to start with and as most people will tell you, you are going want to end up with a 75-90 for him / her to be happy in.  Two of them and you will need to get a 75 minimum.

Is that a male or female? You can almost vent them I think in about in a month or two.  IF that's a female she is going to be worth a lot. If its a male but has no big head.....prices drop fast.   good luck with the fish.  They are one of my favors (amount hybrid that is).

From the belly protrusion, I would say its a female
