OK call me stupid or whatever but I cant figure this one out. I recently set up my 140 with a 2260 on it. Works great and all is dead quiet filtering like a champ. Problem is that I got in such a hurry that I forgot to put shutoff valves on the each line going to the tank....Like an idiot.
I corrected this yesterday and valves are in place all is good....right. no wrong
I did a water change this morning by using the drain line. I am sitting there thinking how great is this. I went and had breakfast(no I didnt stop checking on it) and then filled back up.man this is great and very easy
Now the pump is noisey as heck. It sounds as of its drawing air or cavitating which I shut everything off and disassembled it and then tried it again. I wanted to make sure there was not a leak anyplace. I also started and stopped it a few time to make sure it wasnt cavitating.
I can see small bubbles so I know they are coming from some place but there is absolutely no water on the ground.
Does it just take a day or two for it to purge any air in the canister? Any help would be great as this is frustrating.
