weird aquarium dimensions

I have found a tank for sale that the seller says is a 135 gallon tank.  She says that the aquarium is 7'x15"x24".  anyone ever heard of a production tank that has these dimensions?  I have been looking online and cant seem to find anything about an aquarium like this.  maybe she is just dumb and cant read a tape measure.  thanks shawn.

Those dimensions would be a little under 135g.   Give her a chance as everyone makes mistakes.   Some people have never been taught to read a tape measure.  It may be 18"  which would make it 135 gallons

i've never heard of those dimensions...but you shouldn't say "dumb"....she may just be measuring tape impaired.... :wink:

It could be a custom tank, and it sounds like the gallons are right... I get somewhere closer to 130 though.

I heard heard of a tank with those dimensions either though. Might be kinda interesting.

Yea i guess im being mean.  I will give her a chance.  i would not mind if that were the accurate dimensions.  i do like having things that are different from everyday occurences.  i will keep ya'll updated.

Lighting choices may be a little interesting with a 7' tank.

True. Most people get two 3' fixtures and put a little space inbetween each fixture or put a canopy on top to cover up whatever they choose to do. I personally have a lone 4' strip on my 7' tank. There are a few 7' fixtures out there...

72 x 18 x 24 = 135 gallon (std oceanic 135)
84 x 15 x 24 = 131 gallon -- very unusual size indeed

For a 7ft tank I would prolly put 2x 36 fixtures or a 36" + 48" fixture.

Also something to think about is that 12-15" is no alot of real estate. You will find it a pain in the butt to landscape.  I would keep my eyes open for a 18"+ tank.  You will be alot happier in the long run. Especially coming froma 75 gallon tank.

Can I ask what you are wanting or have to spend on a tank?

I'm getting it for real cheap.  It leaks but I sealed up  my current tank. I like projects and I don't think that 3 inches would make that much of a difference. The trophs would muck rather like 7ft of space than 6ft of space. Just my opinion.

I thanks tatoo. I def don't want a 12" tank. A six inch difference From my 75 would def be noticeable. I gotta have something to keep me busy. And I spoke to her and she said she measured it with a tape measure.
