  • I love this hobby!

I was watching my 29 gal Praecox tank this morning, looking for more Praecox fry when I got a surprise! I found a 1/4 inch Albino Bristlenose Pleco baby instead!! Only saw the one, but the tank is heavily planted. Momma and Poppa are about 3 inches long, I thought it was a little soon, but hey, not complaining! Maybe the other pairs in the other tanks will soon follow. I just love surprises!!

That is great... the same thing happened to me a little while back. In a heavily planted tank, I'm sure many are hiding. I thought I only had a couple as well, until I came into the room in the middle of the night and noticed a whole slew of them on the front glass...

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

          So cool!

          I love those rainbows too...

I currently have 3 males, 1 female (it was all they had...) but I am wanting to find more.

          Do they breed easily?

Kris, once the tank was to their liking, they breed regularly. They like to breed after a good water change and feeding with frozen bloodworms for a few days. Un fortunately, I have lost 3 females lately, not sure why.
Fishlady, they are hiding in the narrow leaf Java fern I think. hard to a pic of them, but if the opportunity presents itself.......!
Thx Fellow Boxers for the congrats!
