If you could get it in a solid form it would probably really good.
I would bet its applied in crystals suspended in liquid form... and might not be available with just the crystals -

I think I heard of a LFS that had it. I'll have to check.

I was wondering about any experience. It's supposed to be a little expensive but heavier than sand and doesn't clog up filters or hold gases like sand. I just called them....the "S" grade (sand) is sold in 50lb bags, apprx $40 per bag. May be discounted if there is enough bags purchased...

I have the black in three of my tanks and really like it. It packs down pretty much the same as sand. I got mine at a pool tile supply off of 290/Hempstead and 43rd.
